According to the statistics, Indonesia imported a total of around 140,000 tons of stainless steel in March, significantly rising by 98.55% compared to the previous month, also up by 18.10% from the same month a year ago. The imports in March hit a new high in 2019.
Among the imports, hot-rolled stainless steel accounted for around 80,000 tons, a month-on-month growth of 54.9%; cold-rolled stainless steel accounted for around 8,200 tons, a month-on-month hike of 2.5%; semi-finished billet accounted for 50,000 tons roughly, a month-on-month surge of 398%.
